英国に拠点を置くスリー・ピース・バンド、The Air Was Thick。2010年冬に結成とまだ歴史は浅いが、アトモスフェリックな轟音にハイ・トーンのメロディアスなボーカルを合わせ、貫禄のあるシューゲイザー・サウンドを奏でている。SFチックで終末的な世界観が歌詞やアートワークから垣間見えるのも興味深い。

The Air Was Thick are a shoegaze trio based in the UK. They are a young band that have just formed in the winter of 2010, but their sound, which combines the atmospherics and noise of shoegaze with soaring melodious vocals, is full of dignity. The sci-fi-ish and apocalyptic world view that can be glimpsed from their lyrics and artwork is interesting as well.
